The Ohio Career Information System (OCIS)
The Ohio Career Information System (OCIS) is one of the largest combined state and national database in the nation!  It is a computer-based career information system containing a wealth of educational and occupational data. It is user-friendly and an efficient informational source for relating the career decision making process with post-secondary educational and training choices, as well as to employment opportunities based on current labor market information. Users can find out about various occupations, including a description of job duties, skills needed, educational requirements, and employment prospects.  Also, available on OCIS is information on Military Careers, Career Training Schools, Colleges and Universities, and Financial Aid.  There is an Assessment Link to help students see how their interests and skills are a significant tool in making career decisions.   OCIS is available to students and adults through the internet in the school and public libraries and guidance offices.  For more information you can log onto
